Richard Gavin is a critically-acclaimed author whose work explores the realm where dread and the sublime intersect. His supernatural tales have been published in four previous collections and have been selected for Best New HorrorThe Year’s Best Weird Fiction, and The Best Horror of the Year. In 2015 he co-edited Penumbrae: An Occult Fiction Anthology. Richard has also published poetry, criticism, and several works of esotericism for Starfire journal and Clavis: Journal of Occult Arts, Letters and Experience. His non-fiction book The Benighted Path: Primeval Gnosis and the Monstrous Soul, exploring Night Consciousness, was released in 2016. His first major work for Three Hands Press was Sylvan Dread: Tales of Pastoral Darkness (2016). Mr. Gavin’s most recent title, exploring the twilight power and folklore of the gallows, is The Moribund Portal.
